In the early 1990s, Haverhill participated in the Cornerstones Project, a program of the Governor's Commission on the 21st Century. Participating communities created a list of twenty-one "cornerstones" of their community, ranging from buildings to events to natural features. Haverhill's contribution was assembled by a committee volunteers, co-chaired by Lee Kryger and Vern Dingman.
Recently a copy of Haverhill's "Cornerstones" scrapbook was donated to the Historical Society, and you can view it here.
